Developed and delivered a database metrics labeling and categorization feature for the oracle/oracle-db-appdev-monitoring repository, enabling users to assign arbitrary labels to metrics on a per-database basis. This enhancement improved the granularity of monitoring and facilitated more precise cross-database analytics. The implementation involved standardizing internal label handling to ensure consistency across metrics from different databases, which contributed to more reliable dashboards and streamlined incident diagnosis. The work was carried out using Go and YAML, with a focus on backend development and database management. Documentation and configuration guidance were updated to support quick adoption and enable self-service analytics for users.
