During February 2025, contributed to the oracle/oracle-db-appdev-monitoring repository by developing an observability-focused feature that enhanced the reliability of scraping metrics. This work centered on implementing a robust error handling mechanism within the metrics scraping pipeline, allowing for improved logging and comprehensive error tracking throughout the process. Leveraging Go for backend development, the solution introduced instrumentation to capture error metrics such as error rates and retries, supporting proactive monitoring and faster incident response. The approach emphasized maintainable error handling and logging practices, directly addressing project issues and aligning with best practices for backend reliability and operational visibility in Go-based systems.
