
Contributed to the OpenROAD project by delivering two features aimed at improving toolchain compatibility and verification reliability. Upgraded the bazel-orfs dependency to a newer commit, ensuring the build system remained compatible with recent updates and enabling access to the latest features. Developed floorplan-based Verilog generation for the mock-array module, implementing tests to verify logic equivalence between behavioral and floorplan-derived Verilog. This work enhanced the verification path and reduced integration risk for downstream development. Demonstrated proficiency in Bazel, Verilog, and Tcl scripting, with a focus on dependency management, hardware description languages, and test-driven development within collaborative workflows.
November 2025 – The OpenROAD project (The-OpenROAD-Project/OpenROAD) delivered two key features focused on toolchain compatibility and verification reliability: 1) Bazel Orfs dependency upgrade: Upgraded the bazel-orfs dependency to a newer commit (775e112fc8e9fd034c431214943e6eadd430c731) to improve compatibility and unlock latest features and fixes. 2) Floorplan-based Verilog generation for the mock-array module: Implemented Verilog generation from a floorplan and added tests to verify logic equivalence between behavioral and floorplan Verilog representations. Commits include e96020f5b365411d6827b452d40960242d2292e3 and cd493cc7a624c17a0eaf445707bff04610e600cb. Overall impact: Enhanced toolchain stability and verification reliability, reducing integration risk and accelerating downstream development. The work strengthens the floorplan-to-Verilog verification path and ensures compatibility with the latest OpenROAD features.
