Worked on stabilizing backup labeling within the Deckhouse virtualization module, focusing on resolving inconsistencies in how backups are identified across VirtualMachineClass and cluster virtual image configurations. Addressed a critical bug in the deckhouse/virtualization repository by aligning custom resource definitions to use a unified backup label, specifically backup.deckhouse.io/cluster-config, to enhance consistency and compatibility with automation tooling. Utilized Go for backend logic and YAML for configuration management, ensuring that backup processes are reliably automated and less prone to misconfiguration. This targeted fix improved the reliability of backup identification and streamlined the virtualization workflow within Kubernetes environments, supporting robust infrastructure management.
