Worked on the kubernetes/cloud-provider-openstack repository to enhance the reliability of the Octavia load balancer deletion process. Focused on backend development using Go, the work involved tuning backoff parameters to prevent premature timeouts and adjusting deletion timeouts to improve robustness during transient failures. Additional improvements included refining cleanup logic by ensuring security groups are deleted when the load balancer does not exist and reducing log noise by removing unnecessary statements. These changes contributed to a more stable load balancer lifecycle within OpenStack cloud infrastructure, reducing operational overhead and improving the overall reliability of resource deletion workflows in cloud environments.
