Worked on enhancing the user experience for Snowflake integrations in the potiuk/airflow repository by making the Proxy Port field in the Snowflake Connection Form optional. Addressed a common validation issue by updating the backend form validation logic in Python, allowing users to leave the field blank without encountering errors. Supported this change with comprehensive unit testing to ensure the new optional behavior was robust and reliable. This improvement increased test coverage and reduced potential support issues related to Snowflake configuration. The work demonstrated a focus on backend development, form validation, and test-driven practices to improve maintainability and deployment readiness.
