During May 2025, Huanlin Liu enhanced the STOmics/cellbin2 repository by implementing comprehensive English localization and improving documentation readability. Liu translated Chinese comments, string literals, and docstrings throughout the Python and YAML codebase, focusing on code documentation and internationalization. This work aimed to make the project more accessible to English-speaking contributors and to streamline onboarding for new developers. By prioritizing clarity and consistency, Liu laid a foundation for easier future maintenance and collaboration. Although no bugs were addressed during this period, the depth of the localization effort improved the repository’s maintainability and prepared it for broader community engagement.
