Worked on The-OpenROAD-Project/OpenROAD repository to address a build compatibility issue related to SPDLog header inclusion for older SPDLog versions. Focused on improving the reliability of the logging subsystem by introducing a targeted fix that included the appropriate spdlog/pattern_formatter.h header from the details submodule, which resolved header inclusion errors and reduced build failures across different environments. Emphasized maintainability and cross-version compatibility by keeping code changes minimal and well-scoped, ensuring repository stability and consistent CI performance. Utilized C++ and build systems expertise, along with dependency management skills, to align the project’s logging utilities with evolving third-party library requirements.
