Worked on the videolan/vlc repository to deliver SRT Listener Mode for the SRT Input Access Module, enabling the module to accept inbound SRT connections and expanding VLC’s streaming capabilities. The development focused on C programming, leveraging network and socket programming expertise to implement robust socket handling and enhance URL parsing logic. By integrating SRT listener functionality into the VLC input path, the work facilitated new SRT-based workflows and improved the reliability of streaming scenarios. The month’s efforts centered on feature development rather than bug fixes, reflecting a targeted sprint to increase SRT interoperability and support more flexible network streaming configurations.
