Worked on improving DNS SRV resolution stability and IPv6 connectivity in the nodejs/node repository, focusing on reducing ECONNREFUSED errors and enhancing cross-platform reliability. Addressed a bug by refining c-ares fallback detection and updating loopback handling to support IPv6 addresses, specifically adding support for ::1. Ensured that servers are properly prepared before each DNS query by invoking server preparation routines, which improved startup latency and resilience in production environments. Consolidated these changes into a single commit and merged them through a pull request. Utilized C++ and JavaScript, applying expertise in DNS resolution and network programming throughout the process.
