Worked on the newrelic/open-install-library repository to deliver SUSE Linux platform version support for 15.6 and 15.7, expanding compatibility for customers deploying the installer library. The approach involved updating the platform version regex and introducing new infrastructure and logging configuration files, ensuring maintainability for future operating system updates. Leveraged skills in AWS, infrastructure management, and New Relic integration, while utilizing JSON and YAML for configuration. The work focused on reducing onboarding friction for SUSE users and maintaining clear traceability through descriptive commit messages, ultimately enabling broader OS support and smoother deployment experiences within a real-world open-source environment.
