Over four months, Nyanko Software developed and integrated hardware support for multiple Mediatek-based routers in the DragonBluep/openwrt repository, focusing on device tree configuration, embedded systems, and Linux kernel development. Nyanko enabled out-of-the-box operation for devices such as the ipTIME AX3000SM, AX3000Q, AX7800M-6E, and AX3000SE by implementing device trees, configuring network interfaces, and automating image generation. The work included macro-driven improvements for maintainability and streamlined onboarding for new hardware. Using C, DTS, and Makefile, Nyanko’s contributions reduced manual setup, improved deployment consistency, and established a scalable foundation for future device support within the OpenWrt ecosystem.

November 2025 highlights for DragonBluep/openwrt focused on strengthening hardware support and maintainability for Mediatek-based routers. Two primary deliverables were completed: 1) ipTIME AX3000SE router support, including device tree specifications, LED configurations, and MAC address handling, enabling out-of-the-box usability; 2) macro-driven drive strength improvements by replacing hard-coded values with device-tree bindings for the ipTIME AX7800M-6E, improving maintainability and reducing configuration drift.
