Worked on the observeinc/terraform-provider-observe repository, focusing on backend development with Go and Terraform to enhance data correctness and provider reliability. Addressed a critical bug by implementing OID type validation for log-derived metric datasets, which prevents misinterpretation of OIDs and improves data integrity in metric processing. The solution included comprehensive updates to provider documentation, ensuring users and operators have clear guidance on the new validation rules and dataset expectations. Collaborated effectively through a tightly scoped pull request, emphasizing code quality and maintainability. No new features were shipped during this period, with efforts concentrated on reducing production risk and improving reliability.
