
Developed and delivered the Episode Chat feature for the Automattic/pocket-casts-android repository, enabling AI-assisted discussions around podcast episodes. This work involved designing and implementing a feature-rich chat UI using Jetpack Compose and Kotlin, integrating JWT bearer token authentication to secure chat requests, and adding episode previews for enhanced user experience. Addressed reliability by resolving message persistence issues and incorporated analytics instrumentation to provide insights into user engagement and feature usage. The development process included comprehensive unit testing and a Compose preview to accelerate UI iteration, demonstrating a thorough, end-to-end approach to Android feature delivery with attention to security and data-driven improvements.
