Developed a MEASUREMENT state class for long-term statistics in the home-assistant/core repository, enabling persistent storage of sensor values for alimvoltage and temperature sensors. The work involved implementing the new state class using Python, updating and extending tests to ensure robust integration, and validating the reliability of analytics over time. Addressed a missing state class registration in sfr-box to complete end-to-end support for long-term statistics, ensuring comprehensive sensor data coverage. Focused on sensor development and thorough testing, the contribution enhanced the platform’s ability to track and analyze sensor data historically, supporting more accurate and reliable long-term insights for users.
