Worked on the JabRef/jabref repository to enhance the user interface by addressing a layout issue in the WebSearchTab, specifically removing unnecessary table spacing to better align with design specifications. Utilized Java and JavaFX, along with FXML, to implement the fix while maintaining accessibility and performance standards. The approach included refactoring UI constants to replace magic numbers, improving maintainability and code clarity. Adhered to CI and Checkstyle requirements, updated documentation, and ensured all changes were traceable through the changelog. The work focused on targeted bug resolution and code quality, contributing to a more consistent and user-friendly application interface.
