In January 2026, Jiang Xianjie developed Resource Manager Component support for PD microservices within the pingcap/tidb-operator repository. He introduced new types and constants and updated existing data structures in Go to enable improved orchestration and resource management across TiDB deployments. Leveraging his expertise in cloud computing, Kubernetes, and microservices, Jiang’s work aligned with the operator’s architecture and laid the foundation for scalable, resource-aware TiDB ecosystems. The engineering effort focused on integrating resource management capabilities directly into the operator, addressing orchestration challenges and enhancing the flexibility of TiDB clusters. This work represented a focused, foundational contribution over the month.
