During June 2026, contributed to the open-webui/open-webui repository by developing a comprehensive skills management feature within the chat interface. This work introduced a new SkillsModal, enabling users to view and manage available skills directly in the chat, with skill visibility and selection integrated into the chat state for a more context-aware experience. Leveraging Svelte and TypeScript, the developer enhanced core chat components to support skill selection and display, while also updating translations to ensure global usability. The focus on UI/UX design improved discoverability and user empowerment, laying the groundwork for future skill-based workflows and API-driven skill data integration.
