Worked on release engineering and artifact publishing governance for the Fraunhofer-AISEC/cpg repository, focusing on improving CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions and YAML. Addressed the issue of excessive artifact version proliferation by disabling automatic publishing to GitHub Packages, ensuring that artifacts are only published when a concrete use-case is established. The technical approach involved updating the CI workflow by commenting out the publish step, which reduced unnecessary CI noise and artifact churn without impacting application logic or runtime behavior. Documented the rationale behind these changes and maintained a clear commit history to support future controlled publishing when appropriate.
