During November 2025, Paul Carey established code ownership governance for the cloudsmith-io/cloudsmith-cli repository by implementing a CODEOWNERS file. This work focused on clarifying ownership boundaries within the codebase, streamlining pull request reviews, and improving onboarding for new contributors. Leveraging repository management and collaboration tools, Paul configured explicit ownership definitions using plaintext, ensuring that code changes could be routed efficiently to the appropriate reviewers.
