
Pat developed a comprehensive observability dashboards feature for the fastly/cli repository, focusing on automated dashboard management and improved application visibility. Using Go, Pat integrated new API client interfaces and CLI commands to enable users to create, list, describe, update, and delete dashboards and their items directly from the command line. This work involved end-to-end implementation of CRUD operations, ensuring seamless interaction between the CLI and Fastly’s observability APIs. By enhancing dashboard management workflows, Pat enabled developers to automate monitoring tasks and access performance data more efficiently. The project demonstrated depth in API integration, CLI development, and dashboard management within Go.
