During January 2026, Winterdamsel enhanced the oxidecomputer/omicron repository by expanding live testing coverage for the Berlin test rig. They added new Berlin serial numbers to the gimlets list, enabling validation of system functionality with a broader set of hardware identifiers. This work focused on improving the robustness of hardware compatibility checks and supporting earlier detection of potential issues before production. Winterdamsel’s contribution centered on test-data management and infrastructure, utilizing Rust and testing methodologies to ensure precise, traceable changes.
