Worked on the webrecorder/browsertrix repository to deliver a migration-focused ingress configuration feature for Kubernetes environments. Developed a solution that defaults ingress handling to the ingressClassName field while providing a useOldClassAnnotation option to maintain backward compatibility with the legacy kubernetes.io/ingress.class annotation. This approach enables operators to transition safely to modern Kubernetes standards without disrupting existing deployments. The work involved Helm chart updates and YAML configuration changes, ensuring a clear upgrade path and reducing migration risks for clusters using older annotations. No bugs were fixed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature delivery and documentation for seamless operator adoption.
