Worked on modernizing package management within the msys2/MINGW-packages repository by delivering a feature focused on rebranding and updating the NME package. The effort involved renaming the package from tme to nme, updating its version to 0.12, and revising dependencies and build configurations to align with repository standards. Leveraging skills in Linux development, build systems, and package management, the work improved naming consistency and enhanced build stability. Bash scripting was used to update packaging metadata and streamline upgrade paths, reducing maintenance overhead and supporting smoother downstream adoption for users and distributions relying on the msys2/MINGW-packages ecosystem.
