During a one-month period, contributed front-end enhancements to the UoaWDCC/aucc repository by developing a new Homepage Hero Section designed to improve user engagement and first impressions. Leveraging Next.js and React with both JavaScript and TypeScript, implemented performance-focused image loading using Next.js Image and introduced a clear call-to-action. The work also included a layout refactor, reorganizing components into a dedicated 'layout' subfolder to streamline code structure and support maintainability. This modular approach established a foundation for faster future UI iterations and ensured visual consistency across the application, reflecting a focus on scalable, maintainable front-end architecture and user experience.
