During July 2025, Phosphotungstic focused on enhancing UI reliability for the ithaka/pharos repository, specifically addressing a persistent issue in the sheet component. Leveraging expertise in front end development, JavaScript, and TypeScript, Phosphotungstic implemented a targeted bug fix to prevent unintended click propagation on the sheet overlay, ensuring the sheet closes correctly when users interact with the overlay. To reinforce this improvement, automated tests were added to safeguard against future regressions, increasing overall test coverage. The work prioritized stability, maintainability, and user experience, reflecting a thoughtful engineering approach that addressed a core usability concern without introducing new features.
