Worked on the oxidecomputer/omicron repository to enhance blueprint creation traceability by implementing a Nexus UUID-based provenance system. This replaced the previous hardcoded creator string with a dynamic identifier, ensuring each blueprint record now stores the specific Nexus instance responsible for its creation. The approach, developed using Rust and backend development practices, improves the ability to trace, debug, and audit blueprint generation across distributed environments. By focusing on governance and maintainability, the work addressed issue references #10396 and #10428, supporting faster issue resolution and audit readiness without introducing customer-facing changes, and demonstrated depth in backend systems design and traceability.
