Worked on the u-root/u-root repository to enhance logging observability by implementing console log level change tracing. This feature emits a log entry before updating the console log level to KLogNotice, providing clearer traceability for diagnostic information and making it easier to identify configuration changes during debugging. The approach focused on improving maintainability and reducing the time required to diagnose issues related to log level modifications. Utilized Go for logging instrumentation, applying debugging and traceability best practices throughout the process. Maintained strong commit hygiene and documented changes using Git, ensuring that the repository remains organized and changes are easily auditable.
