Worked on enhancing API security in the google/adk-python repository by implementing ApigeeLlm Credential Injection with OAuth Scope Support. Focused on enabling per-user credential handling, the work updated constructors and related APIs to accept and propagate credentials, allowing OAuth-scoped user identification for more secure API interactions. Leveraged Python for API development, asynchronous programming, and unit testing to ensure robust integration of the new authentication paths. This feature improved the security posture of the Adk Python library and laid the groundwork for finer-grained access control, while also streamlining traceability and cleanup through coordinated pull request and issue management.
