Worked on the Homebrew/homebrew-cask repository to deprecate the nextcloud-vfs cask and consolidate its functionality into the main nextcloud cask, unifying the installation and upgrade process for users. This effort reduced duplication and potential edge cases, streamlining both user experience and ongoing maintenance. The approach involved a single merge commit, adhering to Homebrew’s contribution standards and leveraging Git for change management. Demonstrated proficiency in Ruby and cask management, collaborating across repositories to ensure a smooth transition. The work enabled easier future enhancements and updates, lowering the support burden while maintaining consistency within the Homebrew ecosystem. No bugs were reported.
