During September 2025, Pranjal Shrivastava focused on enhancing the governance and code health of the VFIO-platform driver within the torvalds/linux repository. Pranjal contributed a maintainer update by adding himself as a reviewer for the VFIO-platform driver, aiming to strengthen subsystem accountability and streamline future code reviews. Working primarily in C and leveraging deep knowledge of Linux kernel development and the VFIO subsystem, Pranjal concentrated on process improvements rather than direct bug fixes. This work established clearer review ownership and improved the maintainership structure, laying a foundation for more robust and efficient triage of future changes to the subsystem.
