Worked on the torvalds/linux repository to enhance the governance and code health of the VFIO-platform driver. Focused on improving subsystem maintainability by updating the MAINTAINERS file, adding a dedicated reviewer to streamline code review and accountability. This effort aimed to reduce risk in future changes and enable faster triage for the VFIO subsystem. The work involved close collaboration with other maintainers and demonstrated strong kernel development and maintainership skills. Utilized C and deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals to ensure robust processes for ongoing development, prioritizing long-term code quality and subsystem health over immediate bug fixes during this period.
