Updated Swagger/docs and created a comprehensive 2026-07-01-preview example set (≈30 files). Maintained backward compatibility by keeping both fields optional where appropriate and retaining credentialPolicyName in 2025-07-01-preview. Performed targeted fixes to examples (e.g., removed certificatePolicyResourceId from registrationState), fixed indentation, and cleaned up an accidental copilot-memory file. Updated package tag (package-preview-2026-07-service) to reflect the new version. Overall, aligned API versioning with governance needs and improved API usability for policy references across Enrollment and IndividualEnrollment models.

In April 2026, delivered a major modernization of the Device Provisioning Service (DPS) REST API specs for the mikeharder/azure-rest-api-specs repo by migrating the data-plane specifications from Swagger 2.0 to TypeSpec. This work preserves backward compatibility while enabling preview features and more robust tooling, laying the groundwork for safer API evolution and easier client SDK generation.
