Worked on UniversalMediaServer to enhance cross-device video playback reliability, focusing on resolving compatibility issues affecting Android and Raspberry Pi clients. Addressed a playback bug by reverting the TranscodeFastStart setting in the Kodi.conf configuration file, which stabilized transcoding behavior and reduced user-facing errors. This targeted fix was implemented through careful configuration management and validated with cross-platform testing to ensure playback stability across major devices. The work demonstrated attention to risk mitigation and traceability by referencing the related issue and commit. Utilized conf language and configuration management skills to deliver a low-risk, business-focused solution that improved the overall user experience.
