Worked on the termux/termux-packages repository to modernize the PHP runtime and streamline deployment processes. Delivered a feature that upgraded the PHP runtime to version 8.5.1, ensuring compatibility across common use cases and updating related dependencies to minimize runtime conflicts. The approach included removing the Apache OPcache subpackage, which simplified deployments and reduced the overall maintenance surface area. All changes were consolidated into a single, traceable commit for clarity and maintainability. The work leveraged PHP development, package management, and shell scripting skills, focusing on improving deployment efficiency and reducing complexity for users of the Termux package ecosystem.
