Worked on enhancing access control and lifecycle management in the Nordix/baremetal-operator repository by extending Kubernetes RBAC rules to support HostUpdatePolicy resource updates. Focused on controller development using Go and YAML, the work enabled the BareMetalHostReconciler to manage ownerReferences and automate HostUpdatePolicy CRs more reliably. In addition to updating RBAC permissions, manifest files were revised to ensure changes were accurately reflected and ready for production deployment. These contributions improved operational flexibility while maintaining strict security boundaries, allowing users to modify resources as needed. The approach emphasized automation readiness and precise policy governance within Kubernetes environments over a two-month period.
