Developed and delivered a cert-manager X.509 customization feature for the warpstreamlabs/charts repository, enabling users to configure both the commonName and privateKey settings on Certificate resources. This work focused on enhancing TLS asset management and deployment readiness by supporting custom private key algorithms and key sizes, including RSA, ECDSA, and Ed25519. Leveraging Kubernetes, Helm, and YAML, the implementation allowed for improved DNS alignment and issuer policy compatibility through flexible certificate configuration. The update included changelog and chart version management to ensure traceability and smooth rollout, with an emphasis on stability improvements in certificate resource handling and security posture.
