Worked on the DataDog/cilium repository over a two-month period, focusing on backend reliability, observability, and cloud readiness. Implemented fuzz testing improvements and introduced configurable JSON logging for Hubble Relay using Go and Helm, enabling easier log aggregation in AWS EKS environments. Addressed CI/CD stability by ensuring fuzz testing dependencies were reliably available and resolved readiness issues by removing non-functional health probes. In the following month, concentrated on Kubernetes RBAC correctness by updating Helm chart conditionals to prevent unnecessary RoleBinding creation during TLS interception. These efforts improved security, operational predictability, and streamlined troubleshooting for cloud-native deployments using Go and YAML.
