Worked on the gravitee-io/gravitee-kubernetes-operator repository to deliver a Gateway Service Labeling Enhancement for Kubernetes, focusing on improving the accuracy of service labeling within clusters. The approach involved switching the gateway service specification from deployment labels to service labels, ensuring that Kubernetes services are labeled correctly and reducing the risk of mislabeling. This change enhanced the reliability of service discovery and monitoring in Kubernetes environments. Additionally, updated the project documentation by fixing a README typo to clarify integration test procedures, streamlining onboarding for new contributors. Utilized Go, Kubernetes, and Markdown to implement these targeted improvements and maintain auditability.
