Worked on packaging updates for the MPL library, focusing on adding version 0.4.0 support across the Spack ecosystem. The work involved updating both the spack/spack and spack/spack-packages repositories to include the new tarball URL and version entry, ensuring users could reliably install and manage MPL 0.4.0 through Spack. Emphasis was placed on maintaining clear and stable install paths, as well as aligning package definitions with release tagging for consistency across repositories. The technical approach centered on Python-based package management, with careful coordination to maintain cross-repository compatibility and support for the latest MPL release without introducing new bug fixes.
