Worked on the allthingslinux/allthingslinux repository to deliver a homepage enhancement focused on performance. Implemented image optimization by introducing automatic WebP conversion for PNG and SVG assets, reducing payload size and improving load times for users. The solution was developed end-to-end using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with careful attention to code quality and maintainability. Collaborated with other contributors through co-authored commits and code reviews, ensuring alignment with project performance goals. This feature directly addressed user experience by decreasing bandwidth usage and accelerating the primary entry point. No bugs were fixed during this period, with efforts concentrated on this targeted improvement.
