Developed two automation features for the github/safe-settings repository, focusing on scalable configuration management and operational governance. Introduced a NOP Dry-Run Mode to the environments plugin, enabling users to preview environment configuration changes without applying them by refactoring API calls and returning a NopCommand object in dry-run scenarios. Built an Archive Plugin that leverages the GitHub API to automate archiving and unarchiving of repositories based on configuration, ensuring repository states align with organizational policies. Employed JavaScript and Node.js to implement a plugin-based architecture, enhancing auditability and maintainability. The work emphasized automation, extensibility, and safe, configuration-driven operations without introducing regressions.
