Worked on the bluesky-social/social-app repository to enhance the reliability of real-time chat timestamps in the ChatList user interface. Addressed a persistent issue where sent message times could appear stale by implementing a targeted fix in the TimeElapsed component. This solution involved synchronizing both tick and timestamp states to ensure that the message sent time updated immediately after sending. The work, carried out using React and TypeScript, improved the accuracy of time displays and reduced user confusion. Demonstrated strong frontend development skills by tracing code paths and delivering a precise bug fix that enhanced the overall user experience in a time-sensitive UI.
