Roman Bolgaryn developed and integrated advanced power flow features for the NREL-Sienna/PowerSimulations.jl repository, focusing on AC power flow loss factor calculation and enhanced flow evaluation. He implemented auxiliary variables to store loss factors and updated the system to track voltage angle and magnitude during optimal power flow scenarios, using Julia and YAML for configuration. Roman also introduced a conditional configuration option to safely enable or disable these features, supporting controlled rollout. In NREL-Sienna/PowerSystems.jl, he strengthened CI/CD pipelines by expanding automated cross-package testing, improving integration reliability and reducing manual testing overhead through enhanced workflow automation and comprehensive test coverage.
