Worked on stabilizing the ccs-scale-cat-service repository by focusing on codebase maintenance and risk reduction rather than new feature development. Addressed legacy complexity by reverting the Assessment Evaluation Score and User Roles functionalities, removing associated controllers, services, repositories, and entity logic to align with updated project requirements. Utilized Java, REST API, and Spring to ensure the backend remained robust and compliant with current standards. This approach clarified the data model, reduced maintenance overhead, and minimized the potential for regressions, ultimately preserving platform reliability. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to backend development, emphasizing long-term stability over rapid feature delivery.
