Worked on integrating the RE2 library into the grpc/bazel-central-registry repository, focusing on streamlining dependency management and cross-platform build reliability. Delivered the RE2 2025-08-12 version by defining a MODULE.bazel file to explicitly declare dependencies, ensuring consistent builds across environments. Developed a presubmit.yml configuration to automate continuous integration and testing workflows for multiple platforms and Bazel versions, enabling early validation of RE2 within the Bazel ecosystem. Utilized Starlark for build system configuration and leveraged Bazel’s registry features to reduce integration risk. The work improved the reliability and maintainability of RE2 adoption in Bazel-based projects without introducing new bugs.
