Gurvaah developed an enhanced user flair system for the lichess-org/lila repository, focusing on expanding personalization options and enforcing branding consistency. The work centered on adding a Python logo flair to the existing flairs database, requiring updates to the data store and the implementation of rule-based checks to ensure all user flairs complied with established guidelines. Using Python and applying skills in database management and user interface design, Gurvaah’s contribution addressed both backend data integrity and frontend user experience. The project was limited in scope, delivering a single feature over one month, but demonstrated careful attention to compliance and user-facing detail.
