Worked on enhancing container orchestration reliability in the containers/podman-compose repository by implementing a configurable healthcheck feature. Developed and integrated a start_interval parameter into the healthcheck configuration, allowing for more precise control over health check intervals and improving the accuracy of container startup monitoring. This adjustment reduced the likelihood of startup stalls and false negatives, supporting smoother CI/CD workflows and faster troubleshooting. The work involved Python scripting and system design, focusing on maintainability and observability. By enabling explicit health-check tuning, the contribution strengthened the overall readiness and monitoring capabilities of containerized environments managed with podman-compose.
