Worked on the subshell/helm-charts repository to enhance observability by implementing a dedicated metrics port for the Image Access Service within the Helm chart. This involved updating both deployment and service configurations using YAML to expose a new metrics endpoint, enabling Prometheus-style metrics scraping and improved monitoring capabilities. Leveraged skills in Kubernetes and Helm Charts to ensure the changes aligned with best practices for release hygiene, including incrementing both application and chart versions. The work delivered a measurable improvement in monitoring readiness, laying the foundation for future metrics-driven alerting and capacity planning, while maintaining minimal operational risk and strong version alignment.
