Worked on enhancing code quality and test reliability for the rubocop/rubocop and openSUSE/open-build-service repositories. Focused on improving RuboCop’s local custom cops configuration, ensuring project-specific settings are used when defaults are unavailable, and refining autocorrect behavior for complex string and hash scenarios. Addressed issues with safe navigation and number conversion logic to prevent unsafe corrections and updated documentation accordingly. Improved test suite stability in open-build-service by refactoring cases to use unique search terms, reducing flakiness. Utilized Ruby, RSpec, and Markdown, emphasizing code formatting, linting, and robust testing practices to increase maintainability and compliance with project standards.
