Worked on the hashicorp/terraform-provider-azurerm repository, focusing on backend development with Go to address a regression affecting Azure Storage SAS permissions. The contribution involved diagnosing and fixing an issue where the azurerm_storage_account_sas data source silently dropped intended permissions, which could lead to misconfigurations and security risks for users. The solution restored correct SAS behavior, ensuring that downstream consumers receive accurate permission settings. This work included updating documentation and preparing release notes to align with the provider’s roadmap for the upcoming quarter. The targeted bug fix improved the reliability and security of the Terraform AzureRM provider without introducing new features.
